Who fashions the lights – Torah cover

The white satin Torah cover on the black velvet ground is a comment about the necessity of both light and dark. The adult hand guiding a child’s hand to drop a coin into a tzedakah box is an imperfect image of social justice as it does not necessarily imply the systemic change necessary.
The People of Israel’s study of Torah can act as a lens to magnify the natural wisdom of humanity. I hope this is a gift we offer the world.
